Fundamentally sound quarterback play is so important to your teams success. Mistakes made by quarterbacks cost teams games and championships. An errant pass can change a potentially positive play into points for the other team. Sometimes quarterbacks make made decisions and some times they make the right decision, but poor fundamentals cause a poorly executed pass.
In the clip below from My Football Mentor, quarterback coach Bill Cunerty, teaches two different footwork techniques to help quarterbacks get more power. He shows the Heel Pop which allows a right handed quarterback to get more power on his throw by allowing him to more freely turn his left hip. He also shows a footwork pattern to help him do the same when throwing to his right side.
