Today’s presenter is CJ Nightingale, Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Coordinator) at Wheaton College
CJ Nightingale enters his second season as the Defensive Coordinator in the 2020 season. Wheaton finished the season ranked first in Division III in scoring defense in his first season as DC and Nightingale was named a Finalist for the FootballScoop.com Division III Assistant Coach of the Year.
A Wheaton alumnus, Nightingale returns to his alma mater after two seasons on the coaching staff at Indiana Wesleyan University. He served as the Wildcats’ linebackers coach in 2018, their inaugural season of football. He began his career in collegiate coaching in 2016 with a one-year stint as secondary coach at Greenville University.
The purpose of this post is not to say that you should do the drills exactly as they do, but that they hopefully will give you some ideas for drills to use to teach and rehearse your coaching points for your team.
