The Northern Illinois Fundamental 5
🏈Eyes: Aim Small, Miss Small
🏈Hands: Placement/Strike/Speed
🏈Hips: Flexibility/Power/Shovers
🏈Feet: Steps/Speed/In-Flight Adjust
🏈Pad Level: Leverage/Finish Hands Above Eyes
Ball Get Off
🏈Go off movement (Ball or Man) not sound. They don’t listen to the cadence.
🏈Shove hips–Roll off front hands and push off both feet. Pinch the penny. Going for a 1 yard knock off on all BGOs.
🏈Drill off of different stimuli: Foot, ball, coach twitch to train the eyes. Defensive ends key their man and see the ball in the peripheral.
