Stress Values – Game Planning and Practice Planning – The 6 S’s
Coach Shares his 6’s for game planning which represent Surface, Shades, Separation, Subtraction, Shifts, and Shift Formations which focus on what plays you are going to run. Surface pertains to what plays you like to run versus 3, 4 and 5 man fronts, shades are defensive alignments such as 3 and 5 techniques that you set your plays and blocking schemes to which also set the direction you want to run your plays. Coaches give and in-depth explanation on separation between vertical stretch versus 1 and 2 high looks which gives your approach for setting separation points by formation. Subtraction pertains to the numbers matchup such as getting 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 offensive players versus defensive plays and this approach is explained in detail. Shifts explains how they trade players to create misalignments and matchups with the defense and finally Formation shifts to take advantage of certain players they like to run versus potential defensive manipulation. Coach Caruso gives an outstanding presentation for game planning using his 6’s.
