Coach Norcross shares the reasons for running a a Pistol offense with the flexibility to run with concepts using a spread offense approach and the pistols ability to get downhill without being under center.
Coach talks about the ability of the running backs to receive the ball deeper, with the ability to hide the running back. Teams cannot set fronts based on off-set back, and able to use all your formation in the running game.
Coach shares the Pistol offense doesn’t tip off the direction of the play and easy to run Zone Read schemes with different Read changes. Inside zone also team to push to LBer depth, easy to create combos.
Can control the backside defensive end and the running back can press the line of scrimmage.
