Coach Paul Golla of Bakersfield High School, who I consider one of the finest coaches in the country gives an excellent presentation on his inside veer.
Coach Golla explains his approach to his number 1 play the inside Veer. Coach does an excellent job explaining the many different ways in which he runs the Veer from both under center and from pistol formations. Coach Golla gives examples on how he likes to attack the many different fronts that a defense throws at him and provides excellent video using is visual examples. Excellent job explaining how effective the Veer play becomes in limiting the amount of defensive schemes his opponents can line up in.

As a guy that is pretty new to the veer, I was a little confused on the Veer Shovel play, you were saying it was the same play as your other Veer series plays. I feel like it is a different play altogether, looks like you are really running the power read as the backside guard is pulling for the play side LB and you are still reading the End. But maybe that is just a way to trick your kids into not needing to install it as another play? Totally understand in that case. Also, I wondered how you tell your tackle to Arc. Is that an all-the-time Odd rule? On the first clip of that play, vs. an Even front, the tackle Arcs around the DE (which is in a 4i in this case), while in the second clip the DE is in the same technique and the tackle blocks him. So I guess the question is, are you reading the End Man on the LOS, or are you specifically reading the DE? That would be the same question for all of your Veer series I guess, not just the shovel play.
