Today’s presenter is Taylor Mehlhaff, ST Quality Control at the University of Wisconsin.
Taylor Mehlhaff is in his sixth season as an analyst at his alma mater in 2020. He is responsible for working with Wisconsin’s special teams units.
Prior to the 2017 season, Mehlhaff was selected to attend the NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy, an event aimed at assisting in the development of up-and-coming college coaches.
One of the greatest kickers in Badgers history, Mehlhaff was twice a Lou Groza Award semifinalist. He earned first-team All-America honors and was named first-team All-Big Ten when he converted 21 of 25 field goals as a senior in 2007 before being selected in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
The purpose of this post is not to say that you should do the drills exactly as they do, but that they hopefully will give you some ideas for drills to use to teach and rehearse your coaching points for your team.
