The #1 objective for their base defense is to stop the run. They use some of their ghost pressure packages when their opponent is in throwing situations.
They like ghost pressures because:
- It helps them defend RPOs and play action pass shots.
- They can play half field safeties and still defend agains the run.
- They can force bad decisions by the quarterback.
- Dissuades boots, slip screens, and draws.
