The #1 objective for their base defense is to stop the run.  They use some of their ghost pressure packages when their opponent is in throwing situations.

They like ghost pressures because:

  1. It helps them defend RPOs and play action pass shots.
  2. They can play half field safeties and still defend agains the run.
  3. They can force bad decisions by the quarterback.
  4. Dissuades boots, slip screens, and draws.
