- Bump is a call that they use frequently in their defense.
- The defensive linemen move one full gap to the next adjacent gap.
- They can call bump left or bump right.
- Purpose is to give their defense a more solid edge.
- Also gives them a true C Gap presence, and it allows the defensive end to be more decisive.
- Bump opens the B gap, but changes the fits so that one of the linebackers is now the B gap defender.
- The linebacker reads do not change in bump from their base Tite Front defense.
