  • Their base defense is a 3 Safety structure with a Double Eagle Bear Front.
  • Their objective was to make sure all defenders were option sound: Dive, Quarterback, Pitch, Alley.
  • The three down linemen played 0, 2, 3  techniques and were dive players only.
  • The two linebackers were quarterback responsible.
  • The Middle Linebacker was running dive to alley on both sides.
  • The corners play deep thirds (cover 3)
  • The three safeties fit off the run scheme and the pass scheme.  If flow came one way or the other, the two outside safeties were force to pitch players.  The middle safety was the post player and would run the alley after the fact.
