Coach McKee’s 2 top goals for his program:
- Get every kid in the school that can help the program out for football. Every kid who has grown up in the program, is a positive kid, who can add to the culture and help the overall team.
- Be as healthy as possible, with as few practice injuries as possible so that they can be playing their best football in the playoffs.
Other Notes:
- Regardless of the system, you need to know how you’re going to block the different fronts that you are going to see.
- You have to be able to block at the point of attack without slowing down your feet. When your brain has to think, you’re feet are going to slow down.
- With Belly, you need to have a way to block someone who is in the A Gap, someone who is in the B Gap, or when both A and B gaps are occupied by a defender.
