Beliefs about Split Zone out of Spread
- Split zone is not always thought to be physical. It can be a physical, violent style of play.
- The tight end cannot be soft.
- It allows the offensive line to focus on first level defenders.
- Gives more creases at the second level.
- Tight end has to be tight to the line for the kickout to work.
- Can be a nice set up to the RPO game.
Offensive Line Rules
- OLine has a first five blocking rule.
- The first five threats to the play is who they will block.
- Tight tracks, have to displace first level defenders.
- Keep it simple so you can play fast and physical.
