Jeff Copp, Special Teams Coordinator at Northern Arizona University
Coach Copp was at Utah State when this video was taken.
Coach Copp begins his presentation by explaining how Utah State uses half line drills to start their installation for the punting game. One primary reason for half line drills as explained by Coach Copp and that is to keep their players healthy and to focus more on specific technique. Coach Copps use of actual practice film is excellent in which he makes it easy to follow the instruction, technique and formations for the punt team. Coach Copp also shares how they protect versus multiple formations and alignments. Coach shares practice film as well from the back end of the punt block team so it gives the viewer a much better understanding on how the actual punt team protects. Coach Copp provides an excellent approach for coaching the punt team.
