The drills in the video are:
- BLA (Block, Leverage, Awareness) Kickoff coverage drill. The purpose of the drill is to identify and read the front-line blocks–going off the butt side of the front line blockers.
- 1/2/3 Kickoff coverage drill. 2 lines–kickoff cover and kickoff return. Blocker goes to one of 3 cones and cover player must adjust technique.
- Compression Technique. Final phase of kickoff coverage. Hands on the blocker, thumbs up, hands inside, then get to the blocker. Between 25 yard line and the goal line.
- Relative Spacing Drill. Punt Coverage drill for frontline players–guards and tackles. Teaches proper coverage spacing.
- Spicer Vice Drill. Tackling drill for both punt and kickoff coverage.
- Backside Fold Drill. Backside punt coverage. Returner has declared and the coverage players work on proper angles.
