They look for 2 or 3 players that they think can be their punt block guys and can not only make a play, but also keep from getting a penalty.

They break off and don’t go through the kickers leg.

They use inside foot back technique.

They key their eyes on the football.  Coach Nunez is a believer in “Stance, Alignment, Assignment, Key.”

Instead of using the teaching phrase, “don’t false step,” he likes to teach players to “Pull themselves through with their near foot.”

Coaching points: shoot their hands late and at knee level.
