Special teams players should…
- Be coachable.
- Be able to operate under duress.
- Understand that what they do is important, but may not appear on the stat sheet.
- Be able to block and tackle in space.
- Specialists (kickers, long snappers, and punters) are as important as any position player. They need indy time as well as time to work with the rest of the special teams unit.
