Double A Gap Pressure out of the 4-3 Defense

Coach begins his presentation sharing his defensive objectives in which he talks about how they want to prevent opposing team from scoring, get the ball back to the offense, and physically dominate opponent and to score. Coach goes from discussing objectives into his defensive principles which is, to give great effort which can overcome poor execution and how good things happen when you are around the football. Coach talks about his principles of pressure in which he states that interceptions are the result of effective pressure and sacks are the result of effective coverage. Coach shares the simplicity and flexibility of the double “A” Gap pressure which forces offenses to run secondary plays and allows the defense to use their 4 best pass rushers which gives the defense the advantage to gain rush and coverage. Coach Shares his illustrations on implementing the Double “A” Gap Pressure and takes you through multiple offensive alignments and how the adjust their fronts and coverage.
