Start, Stop, and Continue

April 5, 2017 by

Tom Bolden, Head Football Coach, Cincinnati, Ohio

Start, Stop, and Continue: A Post Season Staff Meeting to Cover Everything From Your Year Round Calendar to Off Season Training

Coach Bolden begins his presentation by explaining the background of his High School followed by what he calls Phase 1 or “Dead Period”. During the dead period Coach Bolden shares his approach to the off season and exit interviews with his senior athletes and then follows up discussing interviews with his under classman. Coach shares his approach with coaches meetings and how they rank their top 50 underclassmen, how they develop their lifting groups and rotations followed by a revaluation in April. Coach Bolden shares a very interesting approach on how they rank their top 50 athletes based upon the following criteria character, ability, potential, grades, behavior, and history. For coaches looking for new ideas for running a successful year round football program this presentation is excellent.
